Stephen Alan Pasquinelli, Sr., age 69, of Wainwright, died peacefully, Saturday evening, October 21, 2023, in his residence, surrounded by his family, following a battle with cancer.

Born in Twin City Hospital at Dennison on November 16, 1953, Steve was a son of the late Steve and Joyce Schwab Pasquinelli.

He was a 1972 graduate of Indian Valley North High School and continued his education at Stark State Technical College where he obtained a degree in Accounting. While at Stark State, he met and fell in love with the former Jackie Smith. The couple raised three children, and have shared in 48 years of marriage. 

Together with Jackie, the couple also owned and operated Pasquinelli Tax Service for the past 48 years. Steve was also employed by MB Operating Company, a Belden Family Firm, for 40 years prior to his retirement. 

Those who knew Steve were well aware of his servant heart, having been actively involved as a trustee, elder, choir member, and teacher with the Schoenbrunn Moravian Church for many years. For more than 20 years, Steve served as a camp counselor at Epworth Forrest and Camp Bethany. He also served on the boards for the Indian Valley Foundation, the Cross Eyed Mission, Camp Zimmerman, and the Larger Life Foundation of the Moravian Church Northern Province. He was a lifetime member of the JCI Senate having also been a member of the former New Philadelphia and Warwick Jaycee clubs.

Steve was also an accomplished drummer and vocalist, who from the age of 13, performed in various bands throughout the county. He enjoyed antique cars, having been proud to have his grandfather’s 1972 Plymouth Valiant and enjoyed collecting various models of cars. He also followed NASCAR, loved Western Movies and Perry Mason. 

Traveling was another of Steve’s many passions having taken numerous cruises and most recently traveling with his family in their RV. He was fortunate enough to have visited 46 of the 50 states. 

In addition to his wife, Steve leaves behind two sons, Stephen (Libby) Pasquinelli, Jr. of Gnadenhutten and Patrick (Heather) Pasquinelli of Lander Wyoming; grandchildren, Tyler (Bethany) Feutz, Alexis (Miles) Pasquinelli, Jordan (Sara) Walter, Chase (Marisol) Peoples, Ryan (Kimmie) Peoples, Gabrielle Pasquinelli, Airman 1st Class Jack Pasquinelli, USAF, Joshua Brown, Bubba Quiver, Mara Pasquinelli, True Pasquinelli, Kai Pasquinelli, Damian Piasecki, Almudena Mareca and Andrea Baraldi ; great-grandchildren, Leo, Luna, and Paisley ; a sister, Gwen Beamer; adopted family members Ron, Missy, Chloe and Paige Martin; his nieces and nephews, and the family dog, Rosco.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by a daughter Aimee Pasquinelli, and a brother-in-law, Gary Beamer.

The family will greet guests on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 4-7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. A funeral service will take place at Schoenbrunn Moravian Church, 2200 E. High Ave, New Philadelphia on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:30 AM.  Burial will follow at Sharon Moravian Cemetery.
