Shott A. John

John A. Shott, 85, of New Philadelphia, passed away, Sunday, June 4, 2006, at his residence surrounded by his family. A son of the late Andrew and Sophia Shott, John was born July 2, 1920 in Dennison, Ohio.He was a WWII Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1445, in New Philadelphia. He was retired from Dover Tank and Plate.He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Hallie M. Everett Shott; his children, John A. (Dottie) Shott II, of New Philadelphia; Sally A.(James) Wherley, of Stone Creek, Albert A (Sharon) Shott and Debra K.(Rodney) Lesjak, both of New Philadelphia; 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and a great grandchild.At John’s request there are will be no service or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia.
