Shirley W. Brown

SHIRLEY W. BROWN, 56, of Tuscarawas, was at home when she went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, July 22, 2002.Shirley was born April 24, 1946 in St. Clairsville to the late Albert L. and Lydia E. Orr, one of twelve children. In 1964 she graduated from Franklin High School in New Athens. Shirley married David W. Brown in Newcomerstown on February 25, 1967. A member of the Goshen Community Church of the Nazarene, Shirley served as the church secretary for six years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and all her church activities. Shirley also was an avid CB radio operator, known under her handle, “Winnie the Pooh”, the wife of “Sneakie Snake” on channel 22. In addition to her husband David, she is survived by her daughter, Davida (Donald) Limbacher of Baltic; her two sons, David (Sharon) Brown, II of Dover and Thomas (Shara) Brown of Tippecanoe; five grandchildren, Ashley Limbacher, Zachery Brown, Joey Brown, David Brown, III and Alicia Brown; five sisters, six brothers, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two daughters, Coreena and Penny. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 24, 2002 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Thursday, July 25, 2002 at 1:30 PM in the funeral home with her pastor, Rev. Lee Randolph, officiating. Burial will follow at East Avenue Cemetery.
