Shirley Irene Fait

Shirley Irene Fait, 87, of Massillon and formerly of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 in Amherst Meadows at Massillon. She was born August 25, 1921 at Uhrichsville, Ohio.A 1939 graduate of Uhrichsville High School, Shirley was a hairdresser for many years. She worked as a hairdresser at Jaffe’s Department Store at New Philadelphia prior to opening her own business at her home.She is survived by a son, Jan R. Fait of Massillon; three grandsons, Alex, Lyle and Zachary Fait and several other extended family members.Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore J. Fait who passed away on August 20, 2002 as well as her siblings.Friends may call on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, there will be no public services and she will be laid to rest along side Theodore in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
