Shelley Jo Foster

January 11, 1952 — December 13, 2014

Shelley Jo Foster, 62 of New Smyrna Beach, FL went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 13, 2014 at 2:41 in the afternoon at the home of her daughter surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous battle against Leukemia for the last 9 months, but has ultimately been called home due to complications with her Bone Marrow Transplant.

Shelley was born to Sanford C Hill Jr. and Inez Eileen Hill in East Liverpool Ohio on January 11, 1952. She was the 3rd of 4 children. She grew up in Ohio graduating from United High School and attended Kent State University where she met and later married on January 8, 1972 the love of her life William Kennedy Foster. Shelley and Bill moved to Florida shortly after marriage and remained there raising their 2 Daughters Elizabeth Inez and Christine Ann. Shelley earned her Master’s in Psychology and has always taken a great interest in the helping and caring for other people especially during difficult times. In January 2002 Shelley and Bill entered the mission field and remained overseas in the service of our Lord for the last 12 years serving his great commission without question. During the time in the mission field Shelley had the immense joy of becoming a “Mimi” 6 times. She took her greatest pleasure from loving her grandbabies.

Shelley is survived by her husband, William Kennedy Foster, 64. Her daughter Mrs. Brian K Zoucha, and Mrs. Russell B Jarvis. Her Grandchildren, Tyler William Zoucha, 12, Nathaniel Robert Zoucha, 8, Aretta Jo Zoucha, 8, Alexis Leanza French, 19, Brenna Joelynn French, 8, Reina Marie Jarvis, 11, Trinitie Elyse Jarvis, 3m. Her mother Inez Eileen Hill, her brothers Sandy Hill and Pete Hill, and her sister Crystal Weikart.

Services will be held in New Philadelphia, OH on December 22, 2014 at 10:30am at the Linn Hert Geib Funeral Home. There will also be a celebration on the beach in New Smyrna Beach Florida at a time to be determined.

In lieu of flowers it was Shelley’s wish that donations and contributions be made to the International Missions Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230.
