Sheila McCue

Sheila Kay McCue, age 82, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, November 25, 2021, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at Dover following a brief illness.

Born on October 10, 1939, in Union Hospital at Dover, Sheila was a daughter of the late Alvin and Elizabeth Medley Ledrich.

She attended New Philadelphia High School and worked at the former Nichols Department Store. She enjoyed caring for her family and attending the activities of her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren. Sheila also loved watching cooking show, M*A*S*H, and classic movies.

Surviving is a son David McCue of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeremy) Arnold of Tippecanoe, Samantha (Jonas) Bailey of Uhrichsville, Christopher McCue, Justin McCue both of New Philadelphia, and Toni McCue of Dover; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Completing the family are a brother, John (Peggy) Ledrich of Massillon and a sister, Holly Shonk of Dover as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; three brothers, Tim, Barry, and Robert, Ledrich and a brother-in-law, Joe Shonk.

There will be no public visitation or services. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.
