Sheila G. Fewkes

Sheila G. Fewkes, 74, of Strasburg, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2023 in Hennis Care Center at Dover, following a period of declining health.

Born on June 5, 1948, Sheila was the daughter of the late Mary A. (Jacobs) Mahoney and had retired in 1999 from Nickles Bakery at Navarre after 30 years of service. Sheila enjoyed sewing and especially making clothing for others. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and attended the Word of Faith Christian Center at Dover, where she was a member for many years.

Sheila is survived by her son, Tim (Gayle) Mick of Uhrichsville; her daughter, Dianna (Rod) Fondriest of Strasburg; her brother, Gary Criss of Strasburg; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Sheila will be fondly remembered for her caring and giving nature and will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.

In keeping with her wishes, Sheila is to be cremated through the care of the Geib Funeral Center & Crematory at Dover and a private family graveside service will be held in Dover Burial Park at Dover.

It was Sheila’s wish that memorial contributions be directed to either Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 or, Akron Children’s Hospital Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, Considine Professional Building, 215 West Bowery Street, Level 6, Akron Ohio 44308.
