Sharon Jean “Sherry” Stutzman, 66, of Dover, went home to be with her Lord on March 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Columbus on June 25, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Jack R. and Jean C. (Stangle) Daubert and her step-mother, Janet Daubert of Columbus.
After graduating from Whetstone High School in Columbus she continued her formal education at Milligan College. Her professional career began at the former Union Camp prior to devoting 25 years to Amco as an administrative assistant.
Sherry adored her grandchildren, cruising, knitting, and bowling. She was also deeply devoted to the Dover First Christian Church where she served in a number of capacities.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Keith A. Stutzman whom she wed on February 17, 1990; her children, Melinda McPeek of Dover, Harry (companion, Stephanie Jenkins) Hopson of New Philadelphia, Catherine (Dave) Fuller of Wooster, Gwen (Chad) Sundheimer of New Philadelphia and Amy (Brad) Ohman of Canton; her grandchildren, Caitlin and Kylie McPeek, Aidan and Madelyn Hopson, Alexis and Brionna Fuller, and Luca Ohman; and her brothers, John Daubert of Chillicothe, and Terry Daubert of Columbus.
Visitation will be held in the Dover First Christian Church on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. A service celebrating Sherry’s life will be held in the church Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. with Pastor Chris Mulpas officiating. Burial will follow in Dover Burial Park. Friends are invited back to the church where a meal will be served by Sherry’s church family.
