Sharon R. Lamonica, age 65, of Sugarcreek and formerly of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, in the Cleveland Clinic following complications from a surgical procedure.A daughter of the late Anthony and Kathleen Fait DeNicola, Sharon was born at Roswell, Ohio on March 24, 1946. She attended primary school at St. Mary’s at Dennison and later graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1964. On July 29, 1972, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Dover, Sharon married Donald Lamonica and raised three children together. She was employed by Community Professional Services at Dover for more than 25 years where she cared for medical records. Additionally, Sharon was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia. Above all, she enjoyed caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by three children, Donald Lamonica, Jr. of Delaware, Ohio, Amanda (Tyson) Veidt of Bluffton, Ohio and Scott (Dani) Lamonica of Zanesville, Ohio and a sister, Patricia Miller of Florida.Completing the family are four grandchildren; two grandsons, Ryan and Teddy and twin granddaughters, Reagan and Reese.In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony DeNicola, Jr. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2011, from 5:00 Â? 8:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:45 PM on Thursday. Fr. Jeff Coning will lead a memorial service celebrating Sharon’s Life on Friday, June 10, 2011, at 10:30 AM in the funeral home’s chapel. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia. The family requests memorial contributions in Sharon’s memory to be directed to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad Street, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
