Sharon Kay Allen

Sharon Kay Allen, 62, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, from her home following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Harry and Mary Lou (Gorby) Garrison, Sharon was born October 9, 1951 at Warren, Ohio.

Sharon was a woman of great faith and was a member of the Christian Lighthouse Church at New Philadelphia. She found great fulfillment in teaching Bible study as well as when helping others.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Allen whom she married on April 18, 1970; her children, Scott (Niki) Allen of Newcomerstown and Amber Fatheringham of Dover; her grandchildren, Ivana, Sarah and Jamie Kay Allen and Hannah and Seth Fatheringham; a sister, Karen (Chuck) Allen of Dover; two nieces, Leslie Allen of Dover and Amy (Corey) McNutt of Gnadenhutten; two great nephews, Nathan and Joshua McNutt and an aunt, Gay (Joe) Blake of New Cumberland, West Virginia.

In keeping with Sharon’s wishes there will be no calling hours and cremation will take place through the care of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A memorial service celebrating Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, May, 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Christian Lighthouse Church at New Philadelphia.
