Sharon K. Bishop

Sharon K. Bishop, 78, of Beach City, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2024 in Cleveland Clinic-Mercy Medical Center at Canton.

Born in Wooster, Sharon was the daughter of the late Clatus F. and Ruth M. (Cross) Hamilton and a graduate of Wooster High School. Sharon was a homemaker and she loved to crochet. She made numerous baby blankets and afghan blankets as well as other crocheted items. She loved spending time with her family and also had volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader for many years.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Alton L. Bishop, whom she married on August 13, 1966. Also surviving are her two sons, Richard (Cindy) Bishop of Massillon and Robert (Angel) Bishop of Beach City; her brother, David Hamilton of North Port, New York; three grandchildren, Richard L. Bishop, Jr., John Bishop and Brandy Bishop; two step-granddaughters, Kelly Forrest and Krista Miller; a great granddaughter, Aleigha Bishop, 11 step-great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, a brother, Richard Hamilton, is also deceased.

In keeping with her wishes, Sharon is to be cremated through the care of the Geib Funeral Center & Crematory at Dover and a private burial will take place at a later date.
