Scott Michael Graham

Scott Michael Graham, 20 of New Philadelphia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 10, 2006.A son of Brian and Becky (Harrold) Graham, Scott was born September 23, 1986 in Union Hospital at Dover.He was a 2005 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. Scott was following in the footsteps of his father, brother and brother-in-law to become a firefighter. In September of 2005, he graduated from the Ohio Fire Academy at Reynoldsburg, Ohio and in November of 2006, he graduated from Paramedic School in Aultman Hospital at Canton, Ohio. Scott was also employed by Smith Ambulance at Dover as well as Subway at New Philadelphia.Scott was a member Union Hill United Methodist Church at Sugarcreek and was also a longtime member of the Brandywine 4-H Club. He served as a camp counselor for 4-H and was a member of the Junior Fair Board. Scott enjoyed wrestling and was a four year letterman for the wrestling team while in high school. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.He is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Becky Graham of New Philadelphia; one brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Morgan Graham of Port Washington; one sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Tony Kinsey of Newark, Ohio; two nieces, Reese Graham and Haylee Kinsey; paternal grandfather, Delbert Graham of New Philadelphia and maternal grandmother, Marilyn Harrold of Dover; two aunts, Melissa (Teddy) Metcalf of New Philadelphia and Bonnie (Robert) Slagle of New Philadelphia; two uncles, Jeff (Beth) Graham of New Philadelphia and Roy (Holly) Harrold of Dover; cousins, Sara and Tanner Graham, Rob and Nicole Slagle and Tessa Harrold; two second cousins, Hannah and Kylie Slagle; his best friends, Arthur Zurcher and Robby Airgood and his faithful dog, Noodles.Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, JoAnn Graham and maternal grandfather, Roy D. Harrold.Family and friends may call in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Scott’s life will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in Union Hill United Methodist Church at Sugarcreek with Rev. Carl Kandel officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following the committal service, a memorial reception will be held in the Hospitality Room of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.Scott dearly loved his nieces.
