Sandra Lee Moore

Sandra Lee Moore, age 57, of New Philadelphia, died Friday, July 17, 2009, in Union Hospital at Dover following a brief illness.A daughter of Stanley Harrold and the late Florence (Woodruff) Harrold, Sandy was born on June 26, 1952, at Akron, Ohio.A 1970 graduate of Port Clinton High School, Sandy soon took employment with the Federal Office of School Monitoring working as a clerk and administrative assistant until the office was dissolved.Sandy later relocated to New Philadelphia and found great joy in taking motorcycle trips with her long-time companion, Bob Ledger. She also enjoyed watching professional sports and looked forward to the release of the latest movie thrillers.In addition to her father and companion, Sandy is survived by a sister, Laura (Carl) Smothers of Tampa, Florida; and a brother, Scott (Kim) Harrold, of Jacksonville, Florida.Three nephews, Benjamin, Daniel, and Eric; as well as a dear friend, Marguerite “Skip” Ledger of New Philadelphia complete the family.In addition to her mother, Sandy was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents.The family will receive friends on Monday, July 20, 2009, from 1:00 â?? 2:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Reverend Hugh B. Berry will lead a memorial service celebrating Sandra’s life at 2:00 PM in the funeral home’s chapel.The family requests that memorial contributions in Sandy’s name be made to any pet charity of the donor’s choice.
