Sandra Kay Ford

Sandra Kay Ford, 66, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at her home following a courageous seven year battle with breast cancer.A daughter of the late Lynn and Mary (Mann) Tope, Sandy was born March 6, 1941 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.She graduated from Connotton Valley High School in 1959. Sandy was an avid shopper and she enjoyed arts and crafts projects. Her greatest enjoyment in life however was her family and especially her grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Debbie (Vernon) Ours of Easley, South Carolina, Jackie (Fred) Fait, Penny (Ted) Snyder and Jack (Michelle) Ford all of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Allyson and Scott Ours, Jake, Terri and Tiffanee Fait, Melody and Teddy Snyder and Olyvia, Alexis and Logan Ford; one brother, Pete (Cheryl) Tope of New Philadelphia; one sister, Thelma Breyer of Newcomerstown; sisters-in-law, Connie (Ray) Reichman of Gnadenhutten, Edith Ford of Massillon, Sally (Dave) McMath of Uhrichsville, Margaret “Chubby” Ford of Cambridge, Joyce Stonecipher of Tuscarawas and Betty Ford of New Mexico; a brother-in-law, Efrain Padro of New Philadelphia and a special friend, Betty Burgan of Sugarcreek.Sandy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Ford, who passed away on March 15, 1992; a sister, Caroline Padro; a brother, Terry Tope; a sister-in-law, Janet Ford and brothers-in-law, Kay, Gene, Adrian, Kenny and Mike Ford and Ronald Breyer.Family and friends may call in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Sandy’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Dr. Rev. Steven Bailey officiating.
