Sandra Jean “Sandy” Weber, age 61, of Dover, died unexpectedly in Union Hospital at Dover on Wednesday evening, June 20, 2012.
A daughter of Eugene and Kathryn (Bland) Tinlin of New Philadelphia Sandy was born in Union Hospital at Dover on September 8, 1950.
She was a 1969 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. On August 7, 1971, Sandy married Carl W. “Bill” Weber, and as a couple reared two children and shared in 39 years of marriage prior to Bill’s unexpected passing on August 15, 2010.
For a period of time, Sandy was employed by Miller Studio at New Philadelphia and later worked alongside her husband, Bill, in the establishment of Business Management Accountants. Sandy found her skills were best used by supporting her family at home and through being a volunteer at Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County. Following Bill’s passing, she joined the volunteer team in Union Hospital’s Maternity Ward.
Sandy was a longtime member of the Dover Alliance Church and enjoyed being involved in many of the activities and fellowship event which were held. Sandy’s other passions in life included cooking, gardening and traveling with her friends in a 1966 Mustang Convertible.
In addition to her parents, Sandy will be missed by her two children, Joe Weber and Melissa Whiddon both of St. Petersburg, Florida; four sisters, Tracy (Mike) Wolf of Malvern, Nancy (Alfred) Warmus of Akron, Shelly (Tom) Buehler of New Philadelphia, and Kristy (Mark) Robinson of Gnadenhutten; and a brother, Eugene “Bo” (Tammy) Tinlin of Bolivar.
Completing the family are a sister-in-law, Mable Ann (Eugene) Merrick of East Sparta and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM in the Dover Alliance Church where Rev. Richard Rose will lead a funeral service celebrating Sandy’s life at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
Following services, guests are invited to join the family in the church social hall where a meal and fellowship will be shared.
