Sandra Rea Creamer, age 72, formerly of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover.
A daughter of the late Raymond Metcalf and Freda (McKnight) and Nick DeNicola, Sandy was born at New Philadelphia on November 10, 1940.
She attended grade school at Roswell and later graduated from New Philadelphia High School. For a number of years, Sandy was employed by the Tuscarawas County Health Department, where she worked as a home health aide.
She enjoyed visits from her family and friends and caring for her cat Lucky.
Sandy is survived by two daughters, Michelle LeMonte-Thomas and her husband, Mike Thomas of New Philadelphia and Joy LeMonte-Holbrook of Canton; three brothers, Jim (Joann) Metcalf, Ted (Delores) Metcalf, Buster (Birdie) Metcalf all of New Philadelphia.
Five grandchildren Markkie Thomas, Mitch Thomas, Victoria Holbrook, Alan Holbrook, and Elenore Holbrook as well as numerous nieces and nephews complete the family.
In addition to her mother, father and step-father, Sandy was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Metcalf.
The family will receive guests one hour prior to services on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Brian Flood will lead a service celebrating Sandy’s life in the funeral home’s chapel on Saturday at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
