Ruth M. Shull, 84, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at Country Club Center in Dover.A daughter of the late Orville and Edith Martin Coventry, Ruth was born in Dennison, OH on August 2, 1920.She was married to the late Dale M. Shull for 39 years before his death on May 25, 1978. She and her husband especially enjoyed dancing together on their Saturday evenings out. Ruth delighted in her four children, 11 grandchildren, and 24 great grand-children.She was a member of the Jerusalem Church in New Philadelphia and enjoyed playing Bingo at the Roswell Senior Center. She was also a true fan of the Cleveland Indians.Her work outside the home included employment at Union Hospital in Dover, the Times Reporter, and the former Puritan Laundry and Dry Cleaning in New Philadelphia. She retired as a daycare worker at the United Way Day Care Center in Dover.She is survived by daughters, Betty (Ralph) Price and Donna (David) Warner, both of New Philadelphia; sons, Glenn (Bernice) Shull of New Philadelphia and Gary E. (Sue) Shull of Dover; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jim Coventry and Dennis Coventry of Uhrichsville, Dean Coventry of Dover, and Walter Coventry of Tuscarawas; and two sisters, Esther Wayts of New Philadelphia and Joanne Cummings of Dennison.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, and one sister.Visitation will be on Saturday, October 23, 2004, from 10 Â? 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia, where services will be conducted by Pastor Terry Downin at 11 a.m. Burial will be at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. A reception for family and friends at the Geib Family Center will follow the committal. Memorial contributions in Ruth’s honor may be made to Jerusalem Church, 1416 Stonecreek Rd. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
