Schlegel on Saturday, December 15, 2007 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia beginning at 10:00 AM with inurnment to follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.***************************Ruth M. Seibold, age 84, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, December 05, 2007 in Park Village Care Center at Dover. A lifelong resident of 4th Street SW at New Philadelphia, Ruth was the only child born to Frank A. and Flora E. Stucky Seibold. Ruth was a 1941 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and after graduation became employed by the W.T. Grant Company. Ruth was responsible for opening new locations in Barberton, Kettering, and Columbus, Ohio as well as Parkersburg, West Virginia. Ruth continued her employment with W.T. Grant until 1976, at which time she joined the staff of the John Cookson Company and worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 1998.For many years Ruth and her long time friend Mac enjoyed outings on their pontoon boat at Clendening Lake. Ruth also enjoyed attending the Carousel Dinner Theatre and eating out with her friends. Ruth often quipped, “Aside from liver and onions, I never met a food that I didn’t like.”Ms. Seibold is survived by three cousins, June Baker of Dover, Ohio, Glen Shaeffer of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Jo Anne Helm of Colorado. Also surviving are very special friends, Hope, Jean, and Elsie as well as her neighbors Dave and Sue Liberatore and their family.In addition to her parents, her long time companion, Mac, precedes Ruth in death.Friends will be received on Friday, December 7, 2007 from 3 Â? 5 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A Christian wake service will be held at 4:30 PM. In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, cremation will be entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Crematory at New Philadelphia following visitation. A memorial mass will be held at a later date in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia.In lieu of flowers, Ruth requested that donations be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 139 3rd Street NE.
