Ruth M. McCrea, of Dover passed away November 19, 2013 in Union Hospital at Dover.
Born in Dover on September 14, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna K. (Harmon) Hoffman.
Ruth graduated from Dover High School in 1940 and continued formal education at Muskingum Business Institute.
She was formerly employed by JC Penny, W.T. Grant, Montgomery Ward, and Masonite. During World War II, she worked for Timken Roller Bearing Company in Canton.
Ruth is survived by her grandson, Brian (Dana) McCrea of Kingdom of Bahrain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McCrea; and her son, James Edward McCrea.
A public graveside service will be held in Dover Burial Park on Monday, November 25 beginning at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to Geib’s Hospitality Room, across the street from the cemetery, following the graveside service where a reception will be held.
