Ruth Leone

Ruth A. Leone, age 65 of New Philadelphia, died of heart failure on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.

A daughter of the late Lee H. and Nina Spencer Ronald, Ruth was born on May 15, 1952 in Twin City Hospital at Dennison.

A 1970 graduate of New Philadelphia, Ruth offered a warm welcoming smile to those she encountered for over 30 years at Discount Drug Mart at New Philadelphia. Ruth enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, traveling and finding a good bargain at yard sales. She also loved singing and listening to music and caring for her dogs, Annabelle and Toby. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her pride and joy, granddaughter, Hannah.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Frank Leone, whom she married in Sacred Heart Church on March 6, 1971; their children, Dan (Jeramey Parker) Leone and Dawn (Jim Reichman) Leone all of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Hannah Frye, Austin Reichman and Parker Frye.

Completing the family are her siblings, Nancy (Cliff) Cline of Indiana, Bruce (Julie) Ronald of Uhrichsville, and Linda (Preston) Roper of Virginia, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, cremation will take place with no public visitation or services.
