Prior to her retirement, she became the personal secretary to the director of the department.

Ruby’s passion in life was being there for her family. She dearly loved her daughter, Sandy Hershberger, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent much of her life babysitting and involved in the lives of those she loved. Ruby enjoyed creative hobbies such as ceramic, sewing, quilting, gardening and shopping.
