Roy Richard Reynolds

Roy Richard Reynolds, Sr., age 66, of Oldtown Valley, New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, following a period of declining health.

A son of the late, Charlie and Almeda (Dawson) Reynolds, Roy was born at Goshen, Ohio on January 24, 1948.

Prior to his retirement, Roy worked for many years in Oil Field Operations. He was an avid musician who had a natural talent to pick up and learn just about any instrument. He was especially fond of Country Music, fishing, and shooting pool; but most enjoyed the time spent with his family and grandchildren.

Roy is survived by children, Roy (Cheyenne) Reynolds, Jr. , Rafe Reynolds, all of New Philadelphia, Ryan (Amber) Reynolds of West Lafayette, Christina (Dean) Shahan of Dover, Teresa Helmersen of Michigan, and Almeda (David) McClintock of Dennison; two brothers, three sisters, 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and a grandson.

The family will greet guests on his Birthday, Saturday, January 24, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Pastor Brian Flood will lead a service at 6:00 PM.
