Rosemary Ripley

Rosemary (Persons) Ripley, age 82,of Hopedale and formerly of Freeport, Ohio passed away in Gables Care Center at Hopedale On Wednesday, November 28, 2012.

Born October 31, 1930 at Piedmont, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Dempsey Chalmers and Oda Mae (Young) Persons.

Rosemary was a member of the Methodist Church at Wintersville and was also a member of the Freeport Eastern Star #319. It was the time spent with her children and grandchildren that brought her the greatest joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband 51 years, Charles “Ed” Ripley and eight brothers and sisters.

Rosemary is survived by her five children, 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren which include her son Bruce and his wife Brenda of Gillette, Wyoming and their son Aaron and his daughter, Sophia; their daughter, Jaime and her husband, John Pearce and their children Elias and Olivia; their daughter Leslie and her husband, Scott Hotchkiss and their daughter Hannah. Also Rosemary’s daughter, Lori and her husband, Richard Meaton and their children Melissa, Matthew and Nicholas of St. John’s, Michigan. Her son Teddy, his son, Shane, Teddy’s wife Wendy and their children, Blaine, Beau and Teadra of Bremerton, Washington. Her son, Brent and his wife, Angela and their children, Bethany and Adam of Hopedale and Rosemary’s daughter, Jenny and her husband, Chris Cline of Martins Ferry. Rosemary is also survived by one sister, Caroline “Shorty” Kinney of Canton.

In keeping with Rosemary’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.

Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and light a candle in remembrance of Rosemary.
