Rosemary Elizabeth Grahame, age 92, of Dover died peacefully, Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in the care of Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia.
A daughter of the late Jay M. and Mary I. (Heintzelman) Ohliger, Rosemary was born at New Philadelphia, Ohio on October 12, 1920.
A 1938 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Rosemary went on to attend Kent State University where she studied Physical Education and Biology. She was employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation for 20 years where she worked as a secretary for the Safety Director.
She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church at New Philadelphia who also enjoyed shopping, planting flowers, decorating her home for the holiday seasons, visiting with her friends at the former Aberth’s Bakery, cooking and being with her family.
She is survived by her children, Carole Graham (companion, Thomas Gravier) of North Canton, Michael (Suzanne) Graham of New Philadelphia, Bruce (Kathy) Grahame of Canton, and George Grahame of Sagamore Hills; six grandchildren, Aaron Graham of Akron, Mandy (Ryan) Zeigler of Hilliard, Ryan Graham of New Philadelphia, Luke (Diana) Grahame of Savannah, Georgia, Nicholas Grahame of Canton, Ohio and Rhyanne (Jon) Ruda of Twinsburg, and six great-grandchildren, Maddox, Zoe, Bryce, Nolan, Rylee and Theo; and a great-granddaughter, Madelyn Rose who is expected to arrive in May.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary is preceded in death by her former husband, George Grahame and a brother, Edward Ohliger, and a great-grandson, Logan.
Private services will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. Inurnment will take place in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
