Rose E. Snyder, 96, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 16, 2017 following a period of declining health.
Born January 18, 1921 in North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Alex X. and Emelia (Stein) Mosbrucker.
Rose graduated from New Salem High School in North Dakota and in the early 1950’s, moved to New Philadelphia. She was employed at Union Hospital as a dietician for 12 years, the former Mason’s IGA, and was a waitress for several years.
Her memberships included Sacred Heart Church, and the New Philadelphia Eagles and Moose.
Rose is survived by her sons, Stanley (Diane) Corpman of Louisville and Roger (Linda) Corpman of Mineral City; five grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in passing by her husband, Richard, in 1975; her three brothers and three sisters; and her special friend, Carl “Corky” Teter.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM. Father Jeff Coning will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church on Thursday December 21, 2017 beginning at 10:30 AM with burial to follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover.
