Rose Ann Gasser

Rose Ann Gasser, age 84, of Dover, died unexpectedly in Aultman Hospital at Canton on Friday evening, September 11, 2015.

A daughter of the late John and Anna Spristerbach Gerber, Rose Ann was born on April 13, 1931 in the family home at Dover.

She was a graduate of Dover High School and married Dr. Kenneth Gasser in 1956. Together, the couple raised two daughters and shared in nearly 60 years of marriage.

Rose Ann loved her family, especially her grandsons, who were her pride and joy. She enjoyed daily trips to the family farm where she was raised and spending time in her childhood home. Her past times included working in her flower gardens which surrounded her home, keeping her bird feeder filled and enjoying the various birds who visited, as well as playing Bridge with her friends.

In addition to her husband, Rose Ann is survived by a daughter, Ann (Paul) Bambeck, and her grandsons, John and Jake Bambeck and Spencer Prete all of Dover.

In addition to her parents, Rose Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Gasser.

A service celebrating Rose Ann’s life will be led by Rev. Thomas Dunkle on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 1:30 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where the family will greet guests one hour prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in the Dover Burial Park. Following services, a light reception will be held in the Hospitality Room of the Dover Geib Center.
