Rose A. Buehler, 82, of Stone Creek, died Monday in Hennis Care Center at Dover, O after a year long illnes.A daughter of the late August and Barbara Lieta Mattevi, Rose was born July 16, 1923 at Midvale, O. She married Kenneth W. Buehler February 22, 1947.Rose loved taking care of her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed God’s creation and loved taking care of it through her gardening, flowers and even mowing the yard. In the winter months she took her talents indoors and made numerous quilts that many have enjoyed staying warm with in a cold winter’s night. She was well known by her friends for her visits to shut ins and the many cards she sent in her greeting card ministry. When not working at those projects she closely followed the Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes.In addition to her husband, Rose is survived by two daughters Jennifer (Roy) Blind of Massillon, O. and Kaleen (Ray) Mickley of New Phila; three grandchildren Amy (Paul) Kunkle of San Antonio TX, Matthew (Kimberly Lonczak) Blind of Massillon, O. and Joshua Mickley of New Phila. and three sisters Edith Sarchet, Alma Butler, Erma (Mike) Contini all of New PhilaIn addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother August Mattevi and one grandson Ryan Mickley.There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday February 9, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Grace United Church of Christ in Stone Creek, with the Rev. Janet Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Stone Creek Cemetery.A luncheon will be held at the the church following the committal.Memorial contributions honoring Rose’s life may be made to, Grace United Church of Christ PO Box 97 Stone Creek, O. 43840.
