Ronald Stratton

Ronald Stratton, 56, of Dover, died Monday, January 21, 2013 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia.

A son of the late Fred and Alverda (Sowers) Stratton, Ronald was born December 3, 1956 at Seaman, Ohio.

Ron has been a long time resident of the Tuscarawas County area. He also spent many years in the Northeast Ohio area while in the care of his sons, Jim and Joe.

He is survived by his children, Daniel (Stephanie) Stratton of Strasburg, Joseph (Nicole) Stratton of Ravenna, James (Heather) Stratton of Lake Milton and Tracie (Jon) Stratton of Dover; six grandchildren; his siblings, Mona (Tom) Thornton of Warren, Shelly (Don) Armour of Leavittsburg and Lewis (Nancy) Stratton of Windham and many nieces and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carroll Stratton.

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. In keeping with Ronald’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
