Ronald L. Albertine, age 62, of Midvale died Monday, July 18, 2011, in his home, following an apparent heart attack.Born on July 18, 1949, at Twin City Hospital at Dennison, Ron was a son of the late Virgil and Delores Kerr Albertine.Ron was proud of the fact that he was a member of Midvale High School’s Class of 1967; which was the last graduating class for the school. Upon graduation, he went to work at the former Whittacre-Greer brick plant at Midvale and would remain employed with them until the plant closed in 1988. He then began working as a truck driver for Tolotti Pipe at Roswell and was looking forward to entering into a semi-retired state this very week.Ron appreciated being around horses and especially loved the sport of horse racing and the excitement that was involved with each race. He also enjoyed following college sports and NASCAR.Ron was remembered as a devoted son and brother who will be greatly missed by his two sisters, Valerie (Robert) Kalp of Dover, and Becky (Steven) Keesey of Tuscarawas; three nieces, Amanda (Terry) DiDonato of Twinsburg, Michelle Keesey of Akron, and Christina (Troy) Wigfield of New Philadelphia; a nephew, Michael Keesey of Canton; and two great-nephews, Nathan and Ryan DiDonato.Three Aunts, Evelyn (Fran) Staab, Mary (Casper) Dessecker, and Lena (Gerald) Young as well as numerous cousins complete the family.In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by an uncle, Marion Albertine, and an Aunt, Jean Williams.Reverend Hugh B. Berry will lead a celebration of Ron’s life on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 10:00 am in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. The family requests memorial contributions in Ron’s name be directed to the American Heart Association, 5455 North High Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
