Ronald E. Swinderman

Ronald E. Swinderman, 57, New Philadelphia, died Sunday morning, May 16, 2004, at his home.Born in Dover, June 21, 1946, Ron was the first of three sons born to Glenn A. and Virginia Ball Swinderman. He was a l964 graduate of New Philadelphia High School.He loved sports of all kinds, and was an avid New Philadelphia High School sports fan and a member of the Quaker Club. He was also past president of the Central Catholic Booster Club.Ron was employed by and served as an assistant manager at Buehler’s Market in both New Philadelphia and Dover, and at Apples Supermarket in Canton.He is survived by his parents, two daughters, Gina (Nathan) Elder of Gainesville, FL, and Jessica Swinderman and her finance, Ryan Morris, both of Atwood Lake; two sons, John and Brian Swinderman, both of FL; brothers, Jeff (Laurie) Swinderman and Greg (Diana) Swinderman, all of New Philadelphia; grandson, Luke Elder of Gainesville, FL; and nephews, Justin, Cory, Casey, and Kyle Swinderman.Friends may call on the family at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday evening, May 19, between 5:00 and 8:00 pm. Christian Wake service will be at 7:45 pm. A funeral mass will be conducted by Msgr. George J. Schlegel on Thursday, at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia. A reception will follow the service at St. Ambrose Hall.Burial at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia will follow cremation, which will be under the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory.
