Roger W. Rummell

Roger W. Rummell, 82, of Gnadenhutten, O., died Saturday December 18, 2004 at Doctors Hospital in Massillon.He was born October 5, 1922 at Barnhill, Ohio to Walter and Etta Mae LeMasters Rummell.Roger was a 1941 graduate of Midvale High School and attended the Coyne Electrical Institute at Chicago, Il., and was retired from Alsco after 37 years of service.He was a member of the Uhrichsville Church of Christ and Alsco retirees, enjoyed gardening, church activities and spending time with his family.Roger is survived by his wife, Mabel (Phillips) whom he married March 26, 1950; daughters, Linda (Dan) Paulun of West Lafayette, O., and Nancy Peshek of Canton, O.; sons, David (Judy) Rummell of Mansfield, O., John (Renee) Rummell of Newark, O., and Mark (Lisa) Rummell of Hunsville, Al.; sisters, Frances Bailey and Hazel Kaiser; brothers, Warren and Carl Rummell; sister-in-law, Donna Rummell; 4 grandsons, 4 step-grandchildren, a greatgranddaughter and 5 step-greatgrandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Dean Rummell.Visitation will be held Wednesday December 22, 2004 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 23, 2004 at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday December 23, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with Evangelist Tim McPherson officiating. Burial will be in Gnadenhutten Clay Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
