Robin R. Clay

Robin R. Clay, 43, of Creston and formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away in her home Thursday, August 22, 2013.

Born in Cleveland on March 13, 1970, she was the daughter of Cinda Godfrey Clay and Jon W. Clay.

After completing her formal education at both New Philadelphia and Boardman High Schools, Robin completed training and began her career as a modeling instructor for Barbizon Modeling School in Youngstown alongside her mother.

She had a fabulous sense of style, whether it was pulling together an outfit or decorating her home. Robin also had a love for making those around her happy and comfortable. She was an artist and would bring beauty to things she touched with elegance, grace and smiles.

In addition to design, Robin greatly loved caring for animals, whether they were pets that resided in her house or across the field.

She leaves behind her mother, Cinda, and her father Jon; her fiancé, Mick Newsom of Creston and his daughter, Cyndi; a half-brother, Trevor Clay; and a half-sister, Erin Birt, both of Wheaton, Illinois; her uncles, Chip Godfrey of Dover and Jac Clay of New Philadelphia; her aunts, Rebecca Budic, and Teresa Durbin both of North Canton and several cousins.

No public visitation or service will be held. Cremation will be conducted through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
