Roberta Agnes Reiger

Roberta Agnes Reiger, 70, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 in Union Hospital at Dover.A daughter of the late James A. and Dorothy E. (Moberg) Lyons, Roberta was born July 11, 1935 in Cambridge, Ohio.A graduate of New Philadelphia High School, She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren of New Philadelphia. Roberta also once served as the secretary of the church. She was also formerly employed at East Sparta Ceramics, Trumpet in the Land Theatre and Copy Cat Printing in Strasburg.Roberta loved flowers and gardening as well as baking Christmas Cookies. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family.She is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Dave) Everett of Sherrodsville and Brenda (David) Keplinger of New Philadelphia; two sons, Dale (Debbie) Reiger, Jr. of New Philadelphia and Steve (Cheryl) Reiger of Strasburg; nine grandchildren, Justine Reiger, Cory Reiger, Morgan Reiger, Kyle Everett, Brian Everett, Christina Everett, Hannah Keplinger, Kaity Keplinger and Rachel Keplinger; two sisters, Shirley Huston of East Canton and Becky Welch of Deming, New Mexico; one brother, Jim Lyons of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Barbara May and Patricia Kerns.Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2005 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Roberta’s life will be Monday, October 31, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Rev. Marion Keplinger officiating. Burial will take place in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. Following the services, a memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center in New Philadelphia.
