Robert Rutter

Robert Rutter, age 78 of New Philadelphia, died early Monday evening June 4, 2007 in his residence surrounded by his family.Born in Yorklyn, Delaware on August 31, 1928, Mr. Rutter was the son of the late George and Mona Stern Rutter. Robert was self-employed for 35 years as a plumbing and heating contractor. Following his retirement, Robert enjoyed fishing during his spare time.Survivors include his wife the former Sandra Elliott Rutter of New Philadelphia, son Steve and wife Pamm Rutter of New Philadelphia, daughters Dianne and husband Robert Daley of New Philadelphia, Kimberly and husband Dave Caulkin of Mexico, a step-son Mark Solley of Akron, Ohio, Rob Baker of Wilmington, Delaware; three grandchildren, Mandi, Breanna and Haylee and two great-grandchildren, Mariah and Malachi. A brother Walt Rutter and sister Leeann and husband Rocky Peirson complete the family.In addition to his parents, Mr. Rutter was preceded in death by a brother George and sister Jean. There are no public calling hours and a private family service will be held. Mr. Rutter will be cremated through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
