Robert L. Sineff, 81, Midvale, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Union Hospital.A son of the late John W. and Sarah E. Rinehart Sineff, Robert was born in Chillicothe, OH, on June 29, 1922. He was married to the former Elizabeth J. Carbary for 46 years before her death on April 26, 1989.A member of the teamsters, Robert retired in l979 after driving for a variety of companies including A. J. Weigand, Brada Miller Trucking, and ALSCO in Sugarcreek. His second retirement came in l982 when he retired from Belden Brick in Sugarcreek. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in New Philadelphia and was a well-known area musician, playing guitar, mandolin, and a variety of other instruments with many area gospel, country, and blue grass bands.Robert is survived by two daughters, Donna (Tom) Watkins and Tanna (Bill) Loveday, both of Dover; one son, Robert C (Sherry) Sineff, of New Philadelphia; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; close friend, Catherine Homan; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet dog, Jack.In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, John; a daughter, Carol Regula; a grandson, Michael Regula; and six sisters. Following cremation under the care and direction of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory, a graveside service for Robert will be Wednesday, July 16, at 11:00 AM at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek with Pastor Terry Kidd officiating. A reception in the First Church of the Nazarene will follow the committal.The family suggests that contributions in Robert’s memory be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. Third Street, Dover, OH.
