Robert L. Moore

Robert L. Moore, Sr., 70, New Philadelphia, died Saturday morning, November 29, 2003, at his home.Born August 3, 1933 in West Lafayette, Robert was the son of the late Charles and Helen Kennedy Moore, and was a l952 graduate of West Lafayette High School.Robert served in the United States Army from l952 until l955. He was employed at Marlite in Dover where he worked until his retirement.Robert was married to the former Hazel Irene Hunter for 37 years before her death in l992.He is survived by three sons, James Moore of New Philadelphia, Chuck (Jean) Moore of Gnadenhutten, and Robert Moore, Jr. of Reynoldsburg; two step-granddaughters, Jessica Stocksdale and Katrina Page; a great-grandson, Kristian Stocksdale; three sisters, Mary Shearrow of New Philadelphia, June (Dan) Markley and Jean Ridgway, both of West Lafayette; a brother, William (Patty) Moore of West Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one brother, Clyde.Services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at 11:00 am at the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Pastor Fred J. Battles officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm. Burial with military services will be at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Friends and family are invited to a reception in the Geib Family Center following the committal service.The family requests that memorial contributions be forwarded to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W.
