Robert L. Loveday

ROBERT L. LOVEDAY, 75, of Stone Creek, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born December 9, 1926 in Goshen to the late Albert John and Geraldine Walton Loveday. Bob served honorably in the U S Navy during the Second World War. On January 28, 1950 he married Vivian A. Kohler, who survives. Bob was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stone Creek. He retired from the Gradall Co. as a burning table operator. A life-member of the Dover VFW Post #3463, he was also a member of the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau. When not working, Bob enjoyed tending to his beef cattle on the family farm near Stone Creek. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Robert W. (Tanna) Loveday of Dover, James A. (Marcia) Loveday of Winfield, and Dale E. (Karen) Loveday of Strasburg; grandchildren, Willie and Jessa Loveday, Bobby and Joe Penrod, Jason and Trevor Loveday; a great-grandson, Zachary Loveday; a brother, Olen Loveday of Dover and a sister-in-law, Thelma Loveday of Dover. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by brothers Norman and Harry Loveday and sister-in-law, Helen Loveday.Calling hours will be on Thursday, June 6, 2002, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. The funeral service will be Friday, June 7, 2002 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. William C. Haggis, II officiating. Burial will follow at Stone Creek Cemetery.
