Robert Henry Reymond

January 1, 1936 — October 2, 2013

Robert Henry Reymond, age 77, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 02, 2013, in New Dawn Retirement Center at Dover.

A son of the late Henry “Bus” Reymond and Helen (Hines) and Donald C. Howard, Bob, as he was known to all, was born at Midvale, Ohio on January 1, 1936.

He attended the former Midvale High School and in his early teen years he began a lifelong career in the clay and brick industry. He started at the former Royal Sewer Tile before joining the former Evans Brick Plant. In 1966, he joined his uncle in the operation of Reymond Machine, Incorporated and worked for the firm, which is now known as Reymond Products International, Inc., as the General Manager for a number of years prior to retiring in 2008.

While working, he was afforded the opportunity to travel throughout the world where he enjoyed working with clients and experiencing many of the world’s attractions. Additionally, Bob appreciated a good game of golf, the occasional fishing trip and playing cards. He was an avid fan of football and rooted for the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Most of all, Bob enjoyed his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He will be missed by his wife of nearly 49 years, the former Marie Evans; four children, Bobby (Cindy) Reymond of Sherrodsville, Jack (Clarice) Neiswonger of Florida, Amy (Kenny) Pritz and Cindy (Joe) Warner all of New Philadelphia; a brother, George (Becky) Reymond of Dover, and two sisters, Helen “Punk” Golder of Indiana, and Nellie “Sis” Guinn of Michigan.

Completing the family are eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Keith) Tantarelli, Joey, Seth and Kenny Pritz, Tabby, Jon, Teai, and Tara Warner; a great-granddaughter, Ava Tantarelli and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Reymond; a son, Todd Reymond, and two sisters, Pauline Maher and Mary Alsept.

The family will receive guests on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Rev. Hugh B. Berry will lead a memorial service celebrating Bob’s life on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home’s chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Following services, all are invited to join the family for a meal and fellowship in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home.
