Robert E. Reynolds Sr.

Robert E. Reynolds Sr., 82, of New Philadelphia, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Union Hospital at Dover following a lengthy illness.

A son of the late Ernest S. and Ellen Agnes (Christensen) Reynolds, Robert was born May 2, 1938 at Omaha, Nebraska.

Robert had a passion for cars whether it was rebuilding or simply having conversations about them.  He also raced drag cars in his younger years.  He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed rebuilding computers in which he would donate to the Tuscarawas County Senior Center.  Most of all he cherished his dog, Sissy, as well as spending time with his daughter, Kathleen, and granddaughter, Jordan.

He is survived by his children, Robert M. Reynolds, Ronald W. Reynolds, Patricia A. (Dave) Heck, John C. Reynolds, Robert E. Reynolds Jr. and Kathleen M. (fiance, Michael) Reynolds; his grandchildren, Michelle, Jason, Danny, John, Joshua, Matthew, Ashley Matthew, Ryan, Allison, Stephanie, Jordan, Zach and Cameron; several great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Marge Stoops and a niece, Jennifer.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanne Reynolds; a son, Joseph M. Reynolds; a granddaughter, Annette and a brother, Mike Stoops.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
