Manufacturing that Bob caught the eye of a young lady by the name of Helen C. Lambros. Bob would use his years of expertise in the machining field to aid the company to success and would formally retire in 1995. However, for the next several years Bob would enjoy being called upon to share his valuable assets of knowledge to help solve problems and would especially enjoy the time spent on the road as he delivered parts to customers. Until the age of 45 Bob enjoyed playing softball and for a good number of years was the power hitter for the “Lone Oaks”. He also enjoyed league bowling and sharing in activates with the New Philadelphia Elks Lodge, B.P.O.E. 510, where he was a life member. Additionally, Bob was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia. In his later years, Bob could be found working in his garage on various projects or helping his sons’ out in a number of different ways that included fixing mowers or tractors and would often spend Saturday’s at his son Robert’s helping him mow.
