Robert Dee Renneker

Robert Dee Renneker, age 71 of Dover, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover following a courageous battle with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.A son of the late Dee and Ruth Ripley Renneker, Robert was born at New Philadelphia on November 12, 1939.A 1958 graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Robert went on to serve in the United States Air Force from May 19, 1959 â?? May 17, 1963. Upon his discharge, Robert continued in the aviation field for more than thirty years serving as a Fleet Service Engineer with American Airlines at Dallas, Texas, ultimately retiring in March, 1996.Robert was an active individual who enjoyed being an avid bowler and a member of the Sr. League at Boulevard Lanes. He also took pleasure in roller skating and fishing.Survivors include a sister, Shirley J. (Garry) Carrico of Portsmouth, Virgina; three uncles, Harold Carpenter of California, John Renneker of Florida, and Jim Winkler of Stonecreek, Ohio as well as numerous cousins.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, from 4 â?? 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
