Richard Winter

Richard Winter, 54, of Navarre passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his residence.

A son of the late Gerald Winter and Carol Daughtry, Richard was born May 29, 1963 at Akron, Ohio.

Richard was a wonderful man, who was extremely thoughtful and loved his family. He was a member of the VFW in Navarre and was a part owner of CRW Agency at Navarre, Ohio. He enjoyed baseball, golf, listening to music, his many Jeeps, as well as watching his son Daniel’s band and his children and grandchildren in their various activities.

In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his wife Barbara (Sharkey) Winter, whom he married July 17, 2004; six children, Chad (Stacia Meronoff) Winter, Alexandria (Ash) Gamble, Katie Hickman, Daniel Winter, Steven (Jennifer) Freeland and Matt (Mallory) Norman; 10 grandchildren, Andrianna, Abram, Cohen, Callianne, Carsen, Kaylynn, Tayelor, Hayden, Gavyn and Abrielle; as well as his three dogs, Tink, Millie, and Bear.

In addition to his father, Richard is preceded in death by his step-mother, Linda Winter; his sister, Christine Winter; and his dog, Milo.

Visitation will take place on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 4 to 6 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home’s chapel at 6 PM with Ron Good officiating.
