Richard W. Sandy, 64, New Philadelphia, died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at his residence.Born in Steubenville, OH, on July 1, 1939, Richard was a son of the late Ralph and Mary Sandy. He moved to New Philadelphia in the summer of l978.He was a member of the First Christian Church in New Philadelphia and a loyal participant in the church’s Celebration Choir.Richard was a 13-year employee of Taco Bell in Dover. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and walking.He will be missed by his sister, Judy (Ron) Clark of Racine, OH; his niece, Leanne (Shawn) Cunningham of Pomeroy, OH; great-niece, Kali Cunningham and great nephew, Brayden Cunningham; his foster family at Eastcircle-Easthigh; and his many, many friends at First Christian Church and throughout the community.Friends may call at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday evening, March 22, 2004, from 5 Â? 8 pm. Services to celebrate Richard’s life will be conducted by Pastor Jim Borton on Tuesday, March 23, at 10:00 am in the Geib Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. A reception at the Geib Family Center will follow the committal.
