Richard Joseph Turrin, age 71, of Park Village Health Care Center at Dover, and formerly of Bolivar, died peacefully early Saturday morning, July 7, 2007, in Union Hospital at Dover. Born at Roswell July 29, 1935, Richard was a son of the late Angelo Joseph and Julia Missanik Turrin. Richard was baptized in the former St. Elizabeth Catholic Church at Roswell, and had attended Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. For more than thirty years Richard was a consumer of Starlight Enterprises Inc. of New Philadelphia. He touched the lives of many other consumers and staff members at Starlight, where he will be long remembered. Richard’s family includes his three sisters, Julia (Chet) Tarulli and Erma (Joe) Toth all of New Philadelphia, and Shirley Turrin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a brother, Albert (Lois) Turrin of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, nieces and nephews including, Tim Tarulli of Dover, Gregory Tarulli of Dayton, Julia Ann Squeo of Columbus, Joseph Tarulli of Moreland Hills, Ohio, William Toth of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Robert Toth of Canton, Patricia Childers of Zanesville, Ohio, Michael Turrin, Patricia Harris, Janet Turrin, Kathleen Turrin, Susan Turrin, Christine Ripke, Nanette Hatfield, Janie Garvison, and Cynthia King.In addition to his parents, a brother, Bernard Turrin, a nephew, David Turrin, and an uncle, Frank S. Missanik precede Mr. Turrin in death. Msgr. George J Schlegel will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday morning at 10:30 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may call Tuesday morning in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia from 9:30 until 10:15, when prayers will be offered before processing to the church. Those traveling to the cemetery are encouraged to join the procession at the funeral home by 10:15.
