Richard P. Barlow

Richard P. Barlow, 65, of Dennison, passed away in the Community Hospice Truman House on Sunday, December 2, 2018 following a Lou Gehrig’s disease diagnosis.

Born in Arcata, California on January 28, 1953, he was a son of the late Leslie R. and Marie (Kruder) Barlow.

After graduating from high school, Richard worked in the saw mills in California prior to moving to Ohio in 2006. Here, he was employed by Lowes for 10 years.

In Richard’s younger years, he enjoyed boxing. His greatest enjoyment was being outside, especially doing yardwork.

In 1987, Richard married the former Jackie L. Trenholm who he has shared 38 years of life together. They were blessed with their sons, Kevin James (fiancé, Amana Glass) of Cambridge and Michael James (Amber) Barlow of Massillon.

Richard will also be missed by his grandchildren, Morgan and Natalie Barlow. His family also includes his sister, Dolores (Mark) Baze of Oklahoma and Robert (Bobbie) Barlow of Nevada.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his grandson, Nickolas Barlow; and his brother, Leslie Barlow, Jr.

In keeping with Richard’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory and no services are scheduled at this time.
