Richard A. Lee, age 57, of Tall Timber Road, Mineral City, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, following a sudden illness.A son of the late Denver and Betty (Osburn) Lee, Rick was born in Twin City Hospital at Dennison on July 25, 1951.He attended Conotton Valley Schools and was soon drafted into the United States Army, where he served state-side during the Vietnam War.For a number of years, Rick worked for Bill Hawk, Inc. where he assisted on the company’s various projects. Rick was best known for his love of the outdoors. He truly enjoyed the time he spent building and caring for the ponds on his property. He also enjoyed riding his ATV and spending time with his family.Rick is survived by a brother, Larry Lee of Dennison and his companion, Darlene Steve; two sisters, Karen Glass and her husband Jim, of Dover and Sharon Arthurs and her husband Jim, of Dellroy; a brother-in-law, Bob Amon of Alliance; as well as an aunt, Patricia Byler of New Philadelphia.Completing the family are numerous nieces and nephews and their families.In addition to his parents, Rick is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Amon and two nephews, Jeffrey Amon and Tony Glass.A graveside service led by Pastor Jim Borton will be held in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 10:30 AM. The Dover post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will perform military honors.Following the graveside, the family will receive friends from 11:30 AM â?? 1: 30 PM in the Family Center of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, where a time of food and fellowship will be shared.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1815 West Market Street, Suite 108, Akron, Ohio 44313.
