DICK YOUNG, 60, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday afternoon, March 1, 2003 at Union Hospital in Dover. He was born on January 7, 1943 in Poplarville, MS to the late Leonard J. and Dorothy M. Ervin Young. On August 25, 1962, he married Janice M. Nicsinger, who survives. Dick was an automobile salesman for various Dover dealerships and previously owned and operated Dick Young Motors in New Philadelphia. He also owned Riverfront Marina in Stone Creek. His favorite pastimes were fishing, boating and trap shooting. Dick was a member of the Bolivar Sportsman’s Club, the New Philadelphia VFW Post #1445 and was a former member of the Zoar Gun Club. In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his son, Shannon and wife Dianna Young of Dover; two daughters, Shauna and husband Jamie Ross of Dover, Rhonda and husband Todd Beal of Newcomerstown; grandchildren, Timberly and Tyler Ross, Seth Young and Sabrina Beal; sisters, Charlene Snyder of New Philadelphia, Marlene and husband Ken Muth of Stone Creek. Visitation will be at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM, with the funeral following at 6:00 PM with Rev. Don Campbell, pastor of First Christian Church of Dover, officiating. Immediately following the service a reception will be given in the Glib Family Center adjacent to the funeral home.
