Richard John Royer

Richard Royer, 72 of Uhrichsville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home.

A son of the late Robert Bruce Royer Sr. and the late Elva Viola (Dryden) Royer, Richard was born July 10, 1940 at Uhrichsville, Ohio.

Richard was an avid bowler and formed many friendships at the bowling alley over the years. He also enjoyed working in the yard in his spare time.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Hamilton) Royer whom he married on February 17, 1978; his daughters, Dominga Ramos, Sonya Ramos, Tonya Ramos and Rosa Ramos all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Alicia, Hector Jr., Lexie, Yalena, Lavanna, Brooklyn, Jose Jr., Zamine, Elaina, Theresa, Antonio and Amiha; his siblings, Joyce Royer of Strasburg, James (Carol) Royer of Port Charles, Florida, Randy (Lynn) Royer of Newark, Ohio and William (Kim) Royer of Massillon, Ohio; many nieces and nephews and dear friends, Mary Ramos of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dale and Belinda Barker and Rachel Sanders of Uhrichsville.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Bruce Royer Jr. and a dear friend, Renaldo Ramos

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. In keeping with Richard’s wishes cremation will follow visitation.
