Richard A. Huff, 78 of Dover, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 in Hennis Care Centre at Dover, following a period of declining health.
Born in Dover, he was the son of the late Garnet and Eleanor (Applegarth) Huff and a 1963 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. Following high school, Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Richard was an avid muscle car enthusiast, Ohio State basketball and football fan, and liked using his tools and fixing things around the house. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family most, and you could not talk to him without hearing about his son or granddaughter. He was always willing to help others and will be forever remembered as an amazing friend, brother, son, Father and Grandfather.
Surviving is his son, Rob Huff of Lewis Center; his granddaughter Alexis Huff of Worthington; two brothers, Jim Huff and Terry Huff, and two sisters, Debbie Fox, and Diane Caldwell.
In addition to his parents, two brothers, Tom Huff and Tim Huff, also precede him in death.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation care is to be provided through the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia and a celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a future date.
