Rhonda Kay Walker, age 46, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully Friday evening, November 10, 2006, in Union Hospital at Dover. Born at Dennison, on December 8, 1959, Rhonda was a daughter of the late Jimmy E. Walker Sr. and Mary Ann Tantarelli Walker Milligan. Rhonda attended school at both Claymont and the former Indian Valley North High School. For many years, she was a familiar face behind the bar in the Crossroads at Dennison. Until illness forced her retirement, Rhonda worked at Wayne Dalton Garage Door. A loving aunt, Rhonda enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephew, and their friends who also called her “Aunt Rhonda”. She enjoyed attending motorcycle races, boating and enjoying the outdoors on Tappan Lake. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her grandmother, Helen Taffa Tantarelli of Uhrichsville; two brothers, Jimmy E. Walker, Jr. and his wife Megan of Stonecreek and Shane A. Milligan of New Philadelphia; a nephew, Justin C. Walker of New Philadelphia, and nieces Marah Ann Walker of Stonecreek, Madisen A., and Sydney S. Milligan of New Philadelphia, and Hunter L. and Bailey J. West, both of New Philadelphia. Three step-brothers, Butch and Randy Milligan, both of South Carolina, and Mike Milligan of New Philadelphia, and a step-sister, April Dryden of Uhrichsville, also survive. Rhonda’s family also includes two aunts, Rose Copeland and Phyllis (Dale) Poletti, all of Uhrichsville. Three uncles, Vincent Tantarelli, of Marengo, Ohio, Tony Tantarelli of Columbus, Ohio and Johnny Tantarelli of Uhrichsville, and special friends, the Mike and Laura Ball family of New Philadelphia and Robert and JoAnn Fitch also of New Philadelphia, complete the family along with her cat Church and her dog Daisey. In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by three grandparents, Alfonso Tantarelli, and Emily and Earnest Milligan, a brother, Rex A. Milligan and a step-brother, Jeffrey Milligan.Friends are invited to dress casually for a visitation Tuesday, November 14, 2006 from 11AM until 1PM and from 3PM until 5PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Pastor Matt Roe of the First Church of God will lead funeral services Tuesday evening at 5 PM. The family requests that contributions to the Rhonda Walker Benefit Fund be made in care of the Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union, 119 Fillmore Avenue, Dover OH 44622.
